Pyloric sphincter

I was going through old threads digging for info. when I came accross a couple threads talking about the pyloric sphincter being the possible root cause of gerd. WJT, had brought it up and mock turtle (wonder were he is now?) made comments to support the idea. To add, there was a past member gerdo who had claimed to be cured by dilating the pyloric valve.

Any thoughts that this could be something that has been overlooked? We always seem to give the most attention to the les. I'm hoping to find more info. and research on the pyloric valve connection to reflux.

Thanks for the link. I believe wjt, mock and gerdo were ref. the pyloric being "clamp down" or shut tight due to stress. However you are right that it being too loose may allow bile into the stomach. Hopefully others will jump in on this post as well for more thoughts.
