New to this -- lots of questions!

Hi,

I saw an ENT today and he confirmed that I have LPR.
All he did was look at my throat and stick a tube down my nose.
Is this adequate testing for such a diagnosis?

My long-term symptoms are a constant lump in my throat,
lots of mucous at the back of my throat, and
intermittent hoarseness. Could these be explained by anything else?

If I don't make the lifestyle changes he suggested,
could I develop throat or laryngeal cancer?

Since I don't actually feel the "refluxing," how will I ever
figure out which foods aggravate it?

He told me that for anything related to the esophagus, I'd
have to see a gastroenterologist. I always thought the main
danger of LPR was esophageal cancer.

Is airway reflux the same thing as LPR?
