GERD and Listerine (mouthwash)

I stopped using Listerine about a week ago and found out that my throat symptoms are better now! I can not find a reason, this is just a fact. Any ideas?

Listerine is some powerful stuff, kind of the same as mint toothpaste.

My personal opinion:
If you have a sore on your arm (just an example) and you pour Listerine on it and it hurts or burns,-- then this might happen in your throat if it is irritated or excoriated or raw. It does contain some strong stuff in it. Try gargling some baking soda dissolved in water if really necessary. Just a thought ! Feel better !

I get all my toothpaste from the kids section... They have bubble gun flavoring, which isn't mint haha. Plus I get to have power ranger tooth paste!

Not sure if it's just a coincidence, I've tried Listerine with and without alcohol, different flavors too, they all given me throat symptoms right after!

I've been thinking, really? I had been using Listerine for 10+ years before my reflux ever started and I had no problem.

I also had been using Listerine for 10+ years and I never had a problem. But since all my symptoms started (Nov. 2012) I've tried a lot of different things and this is it - may be Listerine is a trigger (or one of triggers) for me.
