Hello. I'm from Chile. I have 21 years. Sorry if I do not express myself well, my English is not very good.
8 months ago had a life that made me very happy. I was studying law at the country's most prestigious university, I loved to play sports (football, tennis, jiu-jitsu), was among the first places and even my articles published in magazines. Even sometimes worked at night to help my parents to pay for college. I was very friendly, had a good life: Friends, good sex, parties, etc.. My schedule was completely full of activities. In November last year, started having excess mucus ... was crazy. All the time walked blowing my nose. I said: Bah ... is only a little mucus by weather (it was winter). This is where my life changed 360 degrees: One day, while studying pressed my chest began, it was horrible ... I started drinking milk because its always calm, but it did not work. I thought it was the heart: I started eating garlic (lol. .. my dad does because he has heart problems). Nothing worked, I thought I would die. I lived alone, with little money, without my help. In the emergency room the doctor saw me as a neurotic, benzodiazepines gave me and sent me home to sleep. Another doctor told me I had anxiety: I found that made sense ... Coffee and abused modafinil. However, what does the anxiety with excessive mucus, my cough and my sore throat? I could not bear to live with benzodiazepines is the worst thing you can do to a human being is like taking life. I retired from the University and returned home.
At home I have seen about
6 doctors and none have the will to make darn check or tests that allow to make a diagnosis. All are based on observation. I read about
GERD and to test if that was my problem I took an antacid: The pain was completely gone. A gastroenterologist gave me lansoprazole, 2 times a day. It worked, but I can not live with this crap all my life. I left. By leaving my symptoms worsened.
I have:
1. Excess mucus (first symptom).
2. Chest tightness. Chronic, all the time. If I drink tea or coffee I will literally crap.
3. Feeling that the top of my abdomen no palpitation.
4. Wheezing.
5. If as many crap (coffee, tea, cigar) my throat hurts. By god, as strange xD.
6. Dry cough.
7. Many belching.
With medication (lansoprazole):
1. Headache.
2. Feeling that no air in my belly
3. Oppression is going.
My gastroenterologist tells me are classic symptoms of GERD. However, I understood that people with Gerd has stomach pain, vomiting and food returns. But I have none of those symptoms. Also that is typical of overweight people and I have excellent fitness and weight.
Since my parents did not have money to see doctors and I every day I feel worse. I told my parents that I'm improving, but a lie. If I tell you I feel like crap I'll put them worse. They did not do any tests to confirm that causes my problems (in my city there is no equipment for pH monitoring). This is really frustrating. Anybody can give me guidance on what could be the cause? I have read that the cause is the sphincter desfunción but other people contradict that by saying it is the stomach that is very close to the diaphragm (massage has helped a little). Others say that is corrected only by changing the diet (does this mean I can never get a cup of tea?). I have read that to chiropractors can correct it.
That. And many greetings. It's great this community for guidance :)
