Continued pain 3 weeks post Nissen

I am 3 weeks post Nissen and am still having fairly severe abdominal pain. Most of it seems to be related to gas but not all of it. I spoke with my surgeon at my 2 week follow up at how surprised I was at the amount of pain and the need for narcotic pain medication. He was not surprised. Has anyone else had to continue with pain medications more than 3 weeks post op??
