I was recently hospitalized for an infection due to eye surgery. Was taken off my Nexium and Zantac because the hospital said they only had Pepsid . Had been on all sorts of antibiotics prior to infection as well as during hospital stay. One week after being released from hospital (and returning to use of regular medicines), I am having a stabbing pain in the right side of my chest bone ONLY when I drink liquids. However, pain has now radiated to area under my right arm.
I have Barretts, GERD, hiatal hernia, and have had ulcers in the past. I am on 40mg of Nexium and 150mg of Zantac and have been for over 25 years.
Has anyone had similar problems in the past? I am trying to schedule an appointment with my doctor ASAP.
