If a person has his first fundoplication surgery done in his earlier 20s or even infant period, how many surgeries would he expect in his whole life?
If a typical fundoplication lasts for 10 years, is it possible for a person to undergo so many surgeries in his life?

Unable to answer this question as it is pure speculation. Sorry.

I asked my surgeon that same question when I had my initial consult and he said that there should be no reason for me (29 year old female) to ever have to have another surgery. He said that he sees repeat surgeries in people with large hernias, but for small hernias and simple lose floppy wraps like he does, It shouldn't ever fail.
