Just read the Fast Track website and it seems they are suggesting eating less fiber for IBS.   I just dont know what to think anymore.  Ive been trying to figure out why i have candida and digestive issues for 20 years.  Its impossible to follow every recommedation.  Do this, dont do that, use this combination, dont drink before a meal dont drink after a meal dont mix fats, dont mix fruits with protein.  How in the world can you keep track?

Believe me, it is all very confusing. Because we are all so different, there are different theories of how to manage the problem. Unfortunately, it is all trial and error. For me, I have tried most of what is out there and have found what has been most helpful based on trial and error. Keeping a food diary has been helpful and talking with people on here has also been helpful.

I used to know what worked for me until they put me on acid blockers

Yeah, I am thinking PPI drugs may do more harm than good. I think my system is messed up from them, and I am weening off gradually. H2 Blockers appear less taxing on the digestive system. Hang in there.

They really screwed me up good. Some people can handle them i guess. I still dont even know if i have LPR or irritable larynx. Right now im trying to clear up the candida infection the acid blockers gave me while dealing with severe throat pain, ativan troubles, digestive issues, low appetite, weight loss, the list goes on and on. Hard to keep going sometimes. I have an endoscopy on the 15th to look for damage from the first endoscopy and Bravo probe 5 months ago that started all of this. The more i research irritable larynx the more i suspect thats my problem. I get the same pain starting at the same time everyday regardless of what or how i eat.

How is your GERD doing while weaning off the acid blockers?
