I've been doing some searching on the LINX procedure; long story short I am highly desperate for relief from my symptoms, but I've become rather confused from the many posts here! Can anyone help me with these questions please?

- How much does a consultation/the procedure cost?
- Does LINX improve or completely cure symptoms? Really hope it's the latter!
- LINX is a metal part; will that have implications on me for future surgery not related to reflux if it comes to that?
- How is the LINX procedure reversed?
- Is there proof LINX works well on LPR? Do they test you using Restech prior to the surgery?

I don't have all your answers, but you can google Linx and easily find their website.

I have heard from ppl on various message boards that some have much improvement and some had issues. I believe it is easily reversible because they can remove the bracelet. There are a few insurance companies who are starting to cover it and there is a list of participating doctors, (which is growing) on the site as well.

I have LPR so I'm curious about it too.

Very good questions. According to The Reflux Center -site it does help for LPR:

Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR) – We are occasionally asked whether LINX™ is an effective treatment for LPR in the same way it is for conventional reflux disease/symptoms. The answer is yes and we have a number of successful LPR patients who are now symptom free and off medication.

I just had a look at some posts there; so does this mean that I can never, 100% cure my LPR? Gods, I just want my life back... ;(
