Thrush is nothing compared to the issues many deal with post-up. I suck on a prescript
ion tablet 5 times a day to cure it.
I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and get a drink of water. I forgot and chugged it - mistake! It took a while to get that air to come back up. I can burp, but not like in the past. That hurt! I'm sorry for those of you that deal with that pain and discomfort often post-op.
Marko, yes - read others logs. Many are more similar to you!
Like you Brandy, I also take a lot of medication daily, for various conditions. Getting rid of the twice a day ppi is helpful. I hope to get rid of my 3 asthma medications at some time within the next year. The worst is the liquid potassium I'm taking. The potassium tablets are enormous, no way to even break them small enough. I suppose I'll be doing that liquid for a long time in the future. yuk! I take meds for kidney stone disease, degenerative arthritis, allergies, depression, as well as quite a few supplements as recommended by my doctors. It was 24 pills and sprays a day, now 22 without the ppi's.
I also am IgG Deficient - an immune system problem, which partly led to my Nissen. Once I heal from this surgery, I will require plasma injections every 3 - 4 weeks for the rest of my life. It will be difficult to get insurance approval (each treatment costs $10,000), but my doctors are certain in time, it will get approved. Once approved, I will be able to do my own injections at home.
I'm sorry to hear about
your PTSD. I'm thankful that it is finally a recognizable illness, with treatments available. I wish it didn't affect you, though.
I still have the nasty pain when attempting to yawn. It stifles the yawn in it's place. I guess we just have to avoid getting tired enough to yawn.
Happy Fall Y'all! I hope everyone has something to enjoy on this day. :)
