I know it's better to get nutrients from food, but sometimes I have supplemented with vitamins. But isn't vitamin C too acidic?

I haven't tried it but am new to heartburn myself. I am actually too scared to try it. But I do know how hard it can be to eat right.
Are multivitamins an option?

Yes, it is better to get from the foods we eat. What about
a multiple vitamin liquid or children's liquid that has smaller amounts of 'C' in it and stir the drops or teaspoon into your food of soup. Also, if you google 'Vitamin C non-acidic' there are several choices. Ester C and Solaray non-acidic powder come up. (I use this on occasion). I'm not recommending any product,-- just kinda telling you about
their availability. Everyone is different and some are bothered and some aren't. I get my C from bananas, papaya, potatoes, etc. I believe that if you looked up the C content of what you are eating, you are probably getting more C then you think you are. The Dietitian told us this and we wrote it down and learned from her. We wish you the best. Keep us up to date on how you are doing.

There is a product that is not so tough on your stomach. Ester-C
®
is non-acidic and stomach friendly. You can take Ester-C
®
500mg every day, just once a day
if
your Dr. feels this is a good product for you !
