is it ok to have esophagram and gastric emptying study on the same day?

Hi, going to have these studies done due to uncontrolled gerd. The hospital scheduled them for the same day, one after the other. Makes it easier for me, just want to make sure swallowing barium for the x-ray of the esophagus won't affect the results of the gastric emptying study after.

I don't think it's a very good idea. I had mine done on seperate days since the barium would interfere w the GES . During the GES u have to eat food w "tracers" in it . But I'm no doctor I've just been through all this already .
