Hospital may have lost my ph/manometry tests

I had a meeting with gastro consultant on Thursday of last week to find out what the results of my ph/manometry are. They weren't on the system and so far seem lost. I am still waiting on a call from the consultant to tell me what's happening.

My question is that if I need to have the test done again would the antidepressant I started on Friday night have any impact on my stomach acid? It is called Remeron (mirtazapine) and it has a strong anti-histamine effect. It only affects the H1 receptor and not H2.

I would hate to have to come off it.

I'm praying that they haven't lost your results and I'm sure they haven't. They are probably just slow in getting the results onto the system.

I can't give you any help on being off the antidepressant for repeat tests. I thought it was just the PPI that you had to stop taking for the PH test cause it's those that stop the stomach acid and they want to measure the acid.

I hope you hear some good news soon from your consultant.
