Isn't it a great feeling to actually eat something? Who knew a potato could bring you so much satisfaction?!
Just a warning: At almost 10 weeks post-op, I had some SERIOUS pain from eating crackers yesterday. Even when you feel like you're back to normal and can do anything, you have to be cautious for a while.

For me, my surgeon put me on a strict diet schedule:
2 weeks of pure liquids (all I ate was chicken broth and Ensure Plus so I wouldn't lose weight)
2 weeks of soft foods (fish, pasta was acceptable)
After a month I was able to eat anything in moderation, and than by 6 weeks I could resume my old eating habits. Sometimes I would eat too fast and I would hurt my 'wrap' a bit. If I did this, I would go back to babying my meals, and would take ibuprofen to decrease the swelling. I'd say after a few months I had no issues eating any type of food.

I would follow your doctor's post-surgery diet, and not push your diet too quickly. You may still experience issues with certain bread-type foods (garlic bread/pizza) they have a tendency to stick at the wrap site. You can always call and schedule your follow-up appointment sooner than 3 months,
Sharon
