Hello to everyone, i havent been here for awhile because i had emergency gallbladder surgery. I was hoping it would help my "throat problems" but it has not.
I will try to make a long story shorter. I had a Bravo capsule attached on march 4th and woke up on march 9th with a lump in the throat and hoarse voice. The following 11 months has been hell on earth. I have dozens of tests including the Restech which malfunctioned and Peptest which showed pepsin in my throat.
My original symptom was hoarsness and pain when trying to talk and terrible globus sensation. Fast forward to now and i have sinusitis, severe pain in the voicebox, that is spreading down to the chest and makes me feel short of breath, plus the always present mucus in the throat. I am unable to use my voice which has cost me dearly. Im afraid the inflammation in my throat has caused the sinusitis and possibly the beginning of asthma. The bottom line is, the pain is unbearable.
Ive been to 5 ENTs and none of them can agree on whats wrong. Some say reflux and some say neuropathy. Whatever it is, i can no longer live with this pain and have to make a decision.
Ive tried every medication except carafate which im going to try today. Ive read so much suffering on here and what people have gone thru with the nissen. I am not healthy enough for this procedure and im not sure i am a candidate for the linx because i have a hernia (not sure how big). Ive also tried the Dropping Acid diet without any success. I really dont know what to do because im just trying to get the sinusitis under control so i can be healthy enough to make a decision. The headaches and sinus symptoms are unbearable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Not even sure what im asking for since ive tried nearly everything. Just wondering how you all keep going. Thank you so much for any input

Journey72, yes, ive had the pain for 11 months. My voicebox is raw and swollen and i am certain that the inflammation is spreading down my esophagus and has caused severe sinusitis. I will read your threads and pray for your husbands recovery. Thank you.
