Well after the discussions on endostim, I was a bit curious so I called up endostim and they gave me the consultant near to me who does the operation in Leicester . I called up and asked for a quote - wait for it 17 to 23 k. Currently the surgeon has done two according to his secretary . The first one seems to be okay with no reflux there has to be a wait to calibrate the device and when it's installed. I know there are probably another three surgeons in the uk who do this operation. Any thoughts?

Are they already doing this commercially in the UK?

It's still ongoing trial and only available at 4 locations in the uk, but if you are willing to pay and a suitable candidate then I am sure they will operate on you.

Huh. Crazy that they make you pay that much for a trial run. I guess I'd always assumed that part of the benefit of a trial is you taking a risk, and not having to pay much for it...

Does anybody know where this thread dissapeared? It had some really interesting information about experience from the new zeeland trial.

It was on the linx thread but there seems to be some disputes over posts so they have all disappeared. Her name was Rebecca. The endostim is still in its infancy if only 2 confirmed people in uk have had it. I don't think in the entire world more than 50 and probably less than 100 have had it as confirmed by some of there test results .
