Daxter,
I'm sure you may have tried digestive enzymes in a supplement form. Not sure if they have done any help for you or not, but there are so many different kinds out there it is so hard to know which to take and I've also read that there's so many kinds of enzymes in nature that they are not able to produce them all in pill form. Based on that I have read some information that instead of trying to treat GERD or LPR symptoms with supplements to instead get the nutrients and enzymes from foods because it may help more than as supplements in pill form. If you haven't already, you should look into growing sprouts as they contain a lot of nutrients and enzymes naturally. In theory by having the additional enzymes it will help break down your food so your stomach will need less acid which would then cause less problems. The additional nutrients will also help healing your body as well. It is very inexpensive and may be worth a try. I really hope you find something that works for you. The biggest key thing though is that in order to get enzymes from food, it must be eaten in raw form. Once you cook it, it destroys the enzymes so they don't work. Some sources even state that raw vegetables digest better than cooked because they contain enzymes that help break themselves down on your stomach during digestion.
