It all started around 2012 when I became obsessed with the mexican chips called " Takis". A year later, one night I wake up choking on my own acid. I go to my regular doctor and tell her my problems and she gives me a purple pill called Nexium. I take in the night as told, and within minutes I get a panic attack. It was my first one, so obviously I had no idea what was going on. What a strange thing. The doctors put me on zantac for a month. Still not better but was not feeling as worse as before, just really tired. Around 3 months later, I was noticing that the whole wheat bread I was eating was giving me more stomach indigestion. I stopped eating bread and felt better. However, I was still anxious and still felt sick. Around fall of last year, I also became lactose intolerant. I was given anti-anxiety medications, but that was also making me feel way more depressed than ever before. Not only that, but it was making my stomach problems worse. I kept losing weight ever since that first panic attack and have not been able to regain the pounds that I have lost. 4 months ago I stopped taking any type of pills. My stomach problems have been on and off depending on what I eat, but my biggest issue is food intolerances. I was a completely healthy 18 year old hispanic, no allergies, no form of disease, nothing. Now im struggling to regain my old self again.
Around 2 months ago i started taking specific foods to help with indigestion and perhaps malabsorption. Just barely a month ago i have began taking natural supplements for the first time. My constant burping after every meal finally stopped or at least is not as worse as before. My energy comes and goes, but I am able to function and do daily tasks. I really hope I am getting better.
I just wanted a place to tell others my story and also help others who are struggling with similar issues.
Thanks for reading,
Alex.
