Hi Rita, I know what you mean about finding a surgeon in the UK,its not easy! Theres only one surgeon here in Northern Ireland doing Nissens.Cant understand That.
My wrap was a 200 degree,he said he would do a 180 but for whatever reason he said it was slightly bigger.
There was some scar tissue from the first wrap which seems to be the surgeons main worry but he managed to work round it.He showed me some great pictures of the surgery afterwards,not for the faint hearted though!
The redo took two hours only which was great i thought as my original op was two and half hours.
I woke up from the redo feeling great compared to the way i was,i just knew whatever was wrong before was fixed. My recovery was great,i was up and around straight away and flew home two days later. Then it was the just usual recovery of shoulder pain and eating slushy foods for a couple of months.
Im sure youll be ok Rita,a partial wrap is easier to get over! Barry
