Hello everyone, I pray all is well!!!
Glad to see that you are still posting even if it's not as much, I hope to get back to posting more regular with you guys.
@Hayley, so sorry to hear about
the job and the leg problems, but just know as I know you already do, that God has the final say. I am praying for TOTAL HEALING in the name of Jesus. This too shall pass!!!
Javery you have come a long way in a year, no pepsid for a month now that's progress. I know what you mean about
paying the price when we eat the things we shouldn't, I too can eat some of things I use too eat as long as I don't over do it. Yesterday I had some BBQ ribs and they were good but I'm feeling it a little bit today not real bad but I can tell I ate something I shouldn't have. So if taking the pepsid is what you have to do and like you said it's far better than 40mgs of any ppi, I would do that. I pray to get to were you are one day.
@Lily, I see you are down to the 10mgs and you have done really great on this journey. I'm so glad that with each reduction it seems to get easier or should I say better, praying for a good report when you go back to the doctor. The alka seltzer antacids, are they better than others? Well continue to do well and when you start your next step down to 5mgs you will get through that step too.
@pazshalom and angelcat, I pray that you will get to where you want to be really soon and to be free of symptoms. Pazhalom are you still on the ppi and are you reducing? Sorry I did not go back and read everything I missed. Also I want to thank you again for your prayers they mean so much and can do wonders. (hugs).
Well I'm doing good, I started reducing again, I didn't do the 10mgs packets as it's hard to find a pharmacy that has it (still looking though). I didn't try spliting the 20mgs dose, not enough patience right now. LOL!!! So I started the every other day thing again, it going on two weeks and I feel the same as I did when I was stepping down from the 40mgs to the 20mgs so, so far so good. I do have a little bit of a sore throat but no constant regurgitating that lead me to the Nexium in the first place. (Thank God) I do need to be better about
what I'm eating though as I have been out of control. I had some fried fish and even put a little hot sauce on it, what was I thinking:) I have also gain 6lbs of my weight loss back as I'm not able to walk or exercise like I use to because of joint pain (nasty side effect of one of the drugs I have to take). But I know like I tell you guys, this will pass. so that's my update!!! I will be checking in more to see how you all are doing and to let you know how my new reducing is going.
