Lpr symptoms following nissen fundoplication.... Redo???

You're not alone. My wife had the nissen fundulopication done around 5 years ago. While she no longer has heartburn, she has persistant chronic cough and post nasal drip, which is worse after meals and when she's lying down )either in the morning when she wakes up or when she's lying in bed to go to sleep). We're currently trialing some OTC Nasocort (Triamcinolone) to see if it helps. Will update regarding her progress.

I'm currently seeing a new consultant who I had lots of faith in at my initial appt. He agreed that an improvement of my les from 6 to 7 after fundoplixation was less than he would expect. I had a bravo performed and I had my suspicions it fell off very early. My reading was 1.5 as soon as I can around from procedure and as soon as I ate it went up to 8.5 and didn't really drop lower than that even reaching "hi" at some points. I "passed" the capsule" very early on which makes me think it was sitting in my intestine most of the time. Consultant has seen this and doesn't agree that capsule came away early despite the printout looking nothing like my previous ph study. He has basically changed his tune and told me he doesnt like performing redo despite him at my initial appt telling me he thought it wasn't done tight enough. After virtually begging him to refer ME for impedance he has agreed again and a cost to myskef again. I suspect he has agreed to refer me but has already made his mind up that he won't be performing any redo. I'm stuck between a Rick and a hard place as my original deemester was only just below normal. I know my synotoms are related to reflux it's just trying to get GI docs to see how debilatating lpr synotoms are. I'm feeling really low tbh. Sick of battling and fighting and wish I had the bloody classic heartburn then maybe someone would listen. Anyway on a more positive note, I'm glad you are getting some answers pink and I'm sure when you get sibo an fibs sorted you will begin to feel so much better. Probiotics do help after being in ppi I found.

I'm wondering pink are there 2 types of impedance? Because if he doesn't refer ME for the dual it's pointless isn't it?

Yes you really need the dual impedance, email him and make sure you get that one.
Your LES scores are still very low, do you get reflux all the time, or just at night?
Might be worth putting your name down for the clinical trial of the TH GARD at Zinor medical.com

Also might be worth contacting Stretta to see if you could have that after a nissen, and do they have any literature for LPR relief with the Stretta?

I have no faith in any doctors now, only myself, you have to trust your instincts, if they are not on your side, fire them and find someone better.

I had all my impedance tests done in Manchester Spire hospital
