Where to get Linx Procedure in the UK?

Hi can anyone in the UK tell me the best place to get the Linx procedure done?

Preferably south UK rather than north. Is there a hospital / surgeon that is known to be experienced and good with this procedure?

Hey, I can't give you an exact location but apparantly a hospital in Cornwall does LINX. My specialist also mentionned Machester at one point. Sorry I can't be more precise.

Hi tk44,go online and contact Torax Medical and it will list all the Uk hospitals who do the implants.Cant say an experienced surgeon as the device is so new though. Good Luck! Barry

Prof Bonavina and Prof Faveretti-- I think both in Italy have excellent surgery Linx results. Listen to them on You Tube too. Well known and respected. JustPassingThrough had it done over two years ago and has moved on with his life. His recovery is on this forum and Facebook. We followed his day by day journey.

Thanks for the replies and info.

I want to get it done in London and there seem to be a couple of surgeons / hospitals offering it. Apparently it's not a hard operation to perform but I hope to find a surgeon with enough experience in the procedure to feel confident going into it.

I've had enough of constant food control, no bending forward etc etc. etc. want my life back!

what the cost for the links operation if you pay for it yourself . i am on medicare and they won't pay for it .
they will pay for the wrap , but i am not interested in it.

"For medicare patients, LINX now has a dedicated procedure code that allows for payment to cover the cost of the hospital portion of implanting the LINX device. The surgeon’s fee is a separate code and fee and is usually covered."
This is from Dr Louie blog at Swedish Hospital, Washington.

Some pay for all but the Linx device itself. Hope you can resolve it all. Best of luck and thanks for your service.
