Ph probe measure gas reflux or just liquid??

Hi does anybody know if when you have standard ph probe test performed is the gas reflux measured or is it just " liquid" reflux that's measured? My surgeon was very vague with my results when I have asked him on 2 occasions. I have had the fundo performed 6 weeks ago now and still suffering. I have absolutely no trouble eating even bread which I was a bit apprehensive to try. I can burp easily and do so very frequently, as well as reflux I'm very aware of a gaseous sensation of reflux. My surgeon has referred me very very reluctantly for another ph test but very confidently told me the " acid would be zero!" I'm contemplating getting a second opinion and perhaps contacting someone who performs the restech or double probe to see if the gas is contributing. If someone could advise though if standard ph picks up gas I would really appreciate. Many thanks

I had a full 360 wrap which I'm presuming should be quite tight? It just doesn't feel right, after reading so many entries from people on here, it seems the norm to have an element of discomfort if you go back to eating normal foods quite early on. I was very strict for the first 3/4 but haven't at any point since introducing my normal diet felt any discomfort whatsoever. I feel exactly the same as prior to the op. I have so much gas and I have been able to burp from day one. The sore throat, sore back of nose, ear/ sinus pain and mucus/ lung congestion are back with vengeance !

My surgeon basically told me there was nothing he could do as he had done his bit and his surgery would not have been a success. He told me my ENT symptoms were due to allergies after I told him if had full ige test and specific ige he reluctantly offered second test but told me there was no way he would be seeing me again as he is that certain his ops don't fail and that there would be zero acid!!! Very confident! I feel like I'm going to have a battle on my hands again!
