lpr and throat burning

Hello: I have not been diagnosed w/lpr but my symptoms are classic. The throat/tongue/roof of mouth burning does not stop unless I am in bed on my wedge. Began w/Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day. After a month was put on Protonix 40 mg twice daily. I have taken this for 22 days now and still the roof of my mouth burns so badly. I called my primary doc and asked if I could d/c this medication. He said sometimes it takes months to get the effect. Funny though, my gastro doc said I would notice a difference quickly?

Does anyone else have this burning continuously.

Please tell me , what kind of dressing can I use on my salad that won't burn my throat?
