Do I have GERD???

Hi, I'm new here and really am frustrated with how I've been feeling. It started a few weeks ago. I woke up at two in the morning with bad nausea. At the time I didn't think much about it as by the afternoon I felt fine again except with a blah feeling in the middle of my stomach. I felt like that for the next 4 days. Didn't eat much and tried drinking more water and a bit of gingerale. The only way I can describe the way my stomach felt was like I was hung over...No I don't drink just in case you're thinking that. On the fifth day I was sooo nausease I thought I was dying. I'm 52 and have never been sick like that ever! I went to the hospital and all blood tests came back normal, I had no fever and I wasn't in pain so they just told me to get some gravol and go home. I got the gravol and two days later went back to the hospital because I was still so sick. They told me it was an inner ear thing and perscribed meds for that. I had a few days where I felt ok then the nausea came back. It's always the worst when I get up in the morning. After some online searching I am trying to eat a piece of toast in the morning with just honey on it and tea. Takes a few hours but it seems to settle my stomach enough to be able to do a few things. I have never actually thrown up. Just all the other stuff, coughing and gagging. Today I was really hungry and had a sandwich. I burped and it came up a bit four hours after I ate it???
Anyways, I have an ultrasound booked next week to check my gallbladder and then the doc will go from there. If anyone has had this I would appreciate any feedback you could give. I had just started a new job when I first got this and have since been let go. I just was too sick to make the trip there in the mornings. :(

No pain. Just a little uncomfortable at times. I have noticed back pain across the middle of my back off and on but that may be because of the gagging?? Last night I took a gravol before bed and slept elevated. Not very comfortable but there wasn't the feeling of nausea this morning. So far I ate a little applesauce and I'm having a tea now. So far so good.
Another thing that I forgot to mention is I am always thirsty. Dry mouth and throat??

This was the first day in almost 3 weeks that I felt "normal". I was great all day but started getting bloated in the late evening. I slept elevated again(no gravol this time) and was waking up with sweats and a pain in the middle of my rib cage off and on all night. I am nauseous again this morning too. I didn't have a bowel movement yesterday but I did almost right away this morning. I am burpy too. This is just so frustrating!!
