I have some upsetting news that I hope I am allowed to share.As some of you know,  Kitt (one of our forum moderators) was diagnosed with colon cancer and has been fighting it. Kitt recently underwent a procedure 10 days ago, to remove the blood clot that had gone into her heart. After removing it, the doctors said it was equal to the size of your fist. It started growing back. Due to her Cancer, and Factor Five her risks are greater for another procedure. She  has chosen to just go with comfort care, and will be moving into the end of life rooms at Regina Medical Center in Hastings tomorrow. My heart goes out to her as I have followed her Journal on Caring Bridge. She is a great Moderator and a caring individual.

Thanks Erica for posting this. I've been keeping up to date on Caringbridge too and was wondering whether to post here. I am so sorry to hear this latest news and am keeping Kitt in my thoughts and prayers. She's given us all so much support on here - I hope she can feel all our love and support winging its way to comfort her now.

My heart goes out to her and her family, I didn't know her well but followed a lot her posts since becoming a member. May god bless and all my prayers to her.

My thoughts go out to her and her family.

I hope that she is comfortable and peaceful in her final days.

The advice and support that her, and all the moderators give to people on this site makes a huge difference to peoples lives and she will be missed.

Thanks Erica for posting this here for members who may not know that Mary has a journal on Caring Bridge. I became a member of HealingWell shortly before Mary left as Moderator. I was drawn to her because her posts and replies were always filled with the insight of a nurse, and the compassion of a best friend.

I was so impressed with her ability to reach out to hurting people here on the GERD forum, I researched and found out about her courageous and faithful battle with colon cancer. I am in awe of her ability to minister to others while fighting for her life.

There is an address posted on Caring Bridge for the Assisted Living facility....I'm going to write her! She doesn't even know me, but she has impacted my life by her faith and goodness.

I am so glad to hear that she helped you and made a difference in your life. I did not want to post the address as I just did not feel it was my place. But I did want to let people know because I know she helped so many people on the forum.

I am so sorry to hear this. I never chatted with her but have seen many of her posts and encouragements and kindness to others. I hope she is being kept comfortable and she is in my thoughts and prayers.

I have read some of her responses on this site and she really does try to help people, its a terrible shame she is having to go through this...my thoughts are with her.

St. Kitt made a difference in my life. This is very sad news. My thoughts and those of my family are with her and her family.
