I'll keep it as brief as i can.
For months now i have been suffering from What is now been diagnosed as acid/bile reflux.
What would happen is I would eat, then feel extremely bloated and eventually ill. Like I had the stomach flu. My symptoms would include: Bloating, nausea, arm and leg weakness, high blood pressure and rapid HR.
The high BP and and rapid HR were from the stress the illness caused me. I have had a couple of EKG’s (pre existing non serious heart rhythm thing) Blood tests a plenty and everything came back normal. My normal BP is sub 120/80 and my normal resting HR is sub 75. It also would raise my blood sugar (non diabetic)
Xrays would normally show that my intestines were “full” and I was constipated. At first I thought it was IBS because I have run into this before, but never as long as I have been dealing with it now.
But the thing that got me was my bowel habits never changed, always been the same, the difference is I have been losing weight (was actually on a diet) compared to gaining weight before. I have dropped 50 pounds since Jan. now down to 206lbs
So I have had some additional tests done, colonoscopy, endoscopy were done and ruled out allergies, chrones, UC, gluten and lactose issues. Only thing it showed was an irritated stomach/inflamed. No gastroperisess (SP?) or lazy stomach as my doc would call it from the endoscopy test as well.
I also had a hida scan and my GB showed perfect EF with some mild to moderate bile splash back.
Here I am now, on zegerid 40/1100. It has reduced the frequency of how often I get ill and how bad it is. Now I get sick once every 2-3 weeks if Im not careful.
I am on lactulose as needed for constipation, and when I do feel ill or bloated, the gas that I pass and the bowel movement I have makes me feel better.
Has anyone had something similar to this?
