Hi All
I had my nissen in december 13, ive had some ups and downs with recovery but all in all ive been ok!
recently ive moved out of my house to live away, and i have a feeling my symptons have returned. its reflux like feelings, not as bad as before the surgery but still a pain thats there. im worried my wrap has failed and i dont know if i would be able to have it again?! I have IBS as well which hasnt been good recently and i wonder if my symptons may be down to the stress of change and moving.

Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences?

Hiya Gloopstar I had my op done back in Dec 13 and things have been going ok....but over the last couple of weeks I have been feeling unwell :-( lots of pain and feeling sick, when I eat I go really tired to the point of I need to sleep. So I am thinking I must have eaten or drank something that my gullet does not like. Also been getting a lot of wind and trapped wind all over my body again, can burp though...lol mega burps!.
Going to book in with gp and see what they say as at this mo in time I need some stronger pain relief as the paracetamol aint lasting long enough. Last time I saw my surgeon at three months he said the pain would be the trapped wind and to take windeze type tablets but it is a scary feeling and it does make u think that the wrap has failed. I am off work at the mo cos I feel so naff!

Thanks for your reply. I too have had a lot of gas, maybe our wraps are irritated from the guess and it isnt reflux itself?
Your timescale is similar to mine, maybe our healing is in the same stages!
Let me know how you go on at the docs as ive booked to see my GP for friday!
