I was diagnosed with chronic mild gastritis last summer ( 2014 ). Went to the e/r with a constant fluttering type pain in the center of my chest that wouldn't stop. The doctors determined this was spasms based on my history and gastritis.
I had previously had a manometry test and a PH test which showed my Lower esophageal sphincter was kind of loose... not functioning exactly right and I have some GERD ( acid reflux ).
Wondering if anyone has this problem with the spasms. I don't have them as much, but still get some. Very scary stuff. They kind of feel like palpitations but are always in the same place... right in the center of the esophagus. Dr. says there is little they can do for them. The GI cocktail they gave me in the e/r helped tremendously.
