Time of day affects how badly I get indigestion?

Hi all.. Not posted in this forum before, been posting on Anxiety one recently :)

Been to the doctors this morning and been given Lansoprazole for the pains I've been having the past few weeks, was told it's reflux / too much acid.
Just wondering if anyone else feels indigestion worse at certain times of day? I know I do.. I'm normally fine after breakfast and evening meals but at lunch time I get reaaaaaally bad pains in my chest after eating which normally makes me sick - to relieve the pressure..

I'm asking because I took my very first Lansoprazole pill as soon as I got out of the doctor (3 and a half hours ago) and I've just had awful pains in my chest since I took it, and just been sick after my lunch again... I'm guessing these tablets take some time to work? Or maybe I'm just having a bad reaction to them?

Hi,

it takes time for Lansoprazole to work, as well for chest pains its Acid reflux its causing. Lansoprazole it helps to reduce your acid in your stomach to try to decrease your acid reflux, its called as PPI as Proton Pump Inhibitors.

Have you been examed for h.pylori? if not than its best to check it as soon as possible, because it can make your stomach worse.

Its also as well if you are overweight, trying to be slim it helps to eliminate acid reflux in your stomach that would help your Lower esophageal sphincter to ease itself.

Ops I do apologies, if you have stress and depression it can make acid to much in your stomach that creates acid reflux as well

Thanks for the info! Not been checked for h.pylori but i think they will be doing more tests on monday :)
