Up to date studies on LPR and GERD are always fascinating; thanks to the LINK group on Facebook for sharing the news of this one! It shows how carefully we need to consider the tests we have for reflux, based on our symptoms. Someone like me - no heartburn or hernias - would benefit more from the impedance, while the Bravo test suits the other way around. Of course it sounds like having both tests would be the best approach, but for people like me who are limited in the tests we can do/afford, this kind of info is very useful!

IF this link doesn't work, the paper's name is "24-hour multichannel intraluminal impedance-pH monitoring may be an inadequate test for detecting gastroesophageal reflux in patients with mixed typical and atypical symptoms"
...Of course it also makes me worry, as I'm already booked in for an impedance. If it turns out the test isn't the one I need, I'll be in trouble as I can't have any more tests beyond this one..!
