What. A. Day.
So it began with a SIBO breath test in the morning. My score was off the charts (109 ppm in the small intestine, 225 in the large intestine), and so I have all of these bacteria eating my food and making me feel very sick.
I don't have gastroparesis!
Endoscopy was not good. A month ago I had one and everything was 'normal'. This guy was much more thorough, and turns out I have bile gastritis, bile seeping through my weak LES, and a wide open pylorus. So, the first thing he said was 'we'll need to operate, there's no doubt about that'.
So, I am really not very well at the moment, but this is the start of feeling better. Bile reflux is a pain of course, but there's ways to minimise. I have learnt a huge amount about myself over the last two months, took up meditation and acupuncture, and worked very hard on my anxiety. I hope that I continue to get better each day from here, and take this as an incredibly positive moment in my life.
Also, I've learnt to trust myself. Doctor after doctor (and lots of my friends) told me it was all in my head, which sent me to the edge of insanity.
I want to thank you guys for your help also,
Paul
