Help please eight months post full nissen

Hi Everyone,

Had my Nissen done eight months ago, and have felt really amazing. Not had to take any medication for months. However, about three weeks ago, i went on a short break with my daughter and think i ate something not quite right. The outcome was that i was sick, it was only a small amount. But it has worried me. I didnt have any pain and seemed fine the next day.

Then this week i have been suffering from a cold and bad sore throat. I can cope with this but it feels like i have the acid reflux back, burning my throat, is this just the wrap site being sensitive, i know it does mimic. I am so worried.

I have repeatadly asked my GP (in the UK) for something to prevent me from being sick at any time, but the only thing he has given me us Domperidone tablets.

Thanks very much, i dont think now that i have dislodged the Nissen, as my cold is clearing up the reflux feeling etc has subsided. It just really worries you that there might be damage. I havent had any pain at all, so i think all is ok.

Its so great to be able to put your worries out there, and have other peoples experiences to take on board.

I will ask my doctor for them, in the UK they dont seem to give you any anti sickness medication.

Its so reassuring to have the Healing Well forum, its been a lifeline to me and helped me so much.
