Okay, I am a little freaked out here. So I have been diagnosed with GERD for three months now and recentlly had a ED Scope done and found out that I have Barrett's Esophagus and a Hiatal Hernia. Well all this has caused anxiety and panic attacks. I have been to the ER 5 or 6 times. They do EKG's, Chest X-rays and blood work, it all comes back good. They usually send me home with paperwork for GERD and Anxiety.
Well, today I started having a dull pain below my left breast and occasionally a dull to moderate pain just above the bottom of the sternum area (I am guessing that is where the hernia is). Well here just recently the pain has been more in the area of the sternum, no longer have pain below the breast. For the most part the pain is positional and walking seems to relieve it a bit but not completely.
Please let me know if you have had this and if it is realted to GERD or could it be cardiac. I am tired of going to the hospital just to find out it is GERD. This is the first time that it has been all day though.
Aslo, if there is any relief from gerd please share, I have tried everything, Gerd Diet, aloe Juice I take Gaviscon 2-3 times per day, Tums 2-3 times per day, 40mg Protonix twice per day, Zantac 150 once per day, and Carafate four times per day. It just seems like it is getting worse. Please someone HELP!!!!!
