Can GERD get worse after intubation?

In December I had oral surgery to remove a severely impacted wisdom tooth. Since then I've had major problems with my GERD not to mention constant post nasal drip (which was never a problem before now I barely ever even had the sniffles unless I got a cold) and I also think might be contributing to the problem. I have a hiatal hernia and I'm wondering if being intubated could have messed it up or made it worse in some way?

If not, could the nearly constant post nasal drip be contributing? My GERD is worse than it ever has been. For the pasta four days I've been nauseous almost all the time. I also can't stop having IBS Attacks because my heartburn is so bad I'm sure all that bile draining into my intestines isn't good. I've already done diet modification and all that and I was fine up until this pointless surgery that I didn't need. The doctors insisted I get that tooth removed even though it wasn't causing me pain and I was so sick of dealing with them I just agreed. I'm regretting it now because of all the horrible things that have happened after it.

Does anyone know if these two things can contribute not only to GERD but ibs as well? I need to have a normal life and this is setting me back way too much.
