It's easily missed by a gastroenterologist or a cardiologist. It can be serious. I had an episode of refluxing (stomach heaving because of eating one of my "trigger foods") which then triggered coronary vasospasm bad enough to be a "heart attack." I had no blockage, no symptoms on blood work, but I did have a major artery that pinched off. It was seen on fluoroscopy when they were putting in the stent.
