Does Anyone Know Where in The SF Bay Area I Can Get the RESTECH Test (Or Comparable) Performed?

I've recently been diagnosed with LPR and am interested in getting the Restech probe (24-hour probe) but my local Gastro doctor doesn't do it and I was told to just 'call around' to see who can.

If anyone has any leads on doctors in the SF Bay Area, ideally on the Peninsula (I live in San Carlos), that would be great.

Welcome to the forum.

Does the test have to be this particular pH test? Just about any large hospital should have a gastroenterology department that can do pH testing.

Are you considering surgery? If so, you will have to have the testing the surgeon requires, not just what you want. Has your GI recommended you to any surgeon?

Outlier. Glad you came to our forum. We had that test done. We went to their website, found and called on the phone. Asked for docs with the machine nearest to our zip code. They provided. Next, most important, call that docs office and confirm that they have it and tell them that you want that test.

Our doc was 50 miles away and it required that we make two trips . One to place it and the next day they remove it and interpret the results. I must say that the doctors we tried to show results to were not interested in it. (. That was two years ago-- hopefully things are different now). Wish you the best John.

I agree in that my consultant poo pooed the idea of restech and only reluctantly agreed to impedance testing. I suffer with lpr mainly non/weak acidic reflux which wasn't picked up by standard ph but impedance demonstrated significant non acidic reflux to the proximal oesophagus. I think your best bet for lpr is impedance testing. Good luck
