Hello friends!
I'm gonna try keeping this as short as possible.
My symptoms: Constant sore throat but only on the right side and voice fatigue. These symptoms started after i tried to quit PPIS, and I probably burned my throat.
What I've tried: PPIS for almost a year for the LPR, Gluten and diary free for 1 year, Most gerd diets, most natural supplements, Amitripyline for nerve damage, Fundoplication in january 2015 (Cured my hearthburn and regurigation problems but not my sore throat and voice fatigue), Gavison advance and much more that i can't think of.
The only one of the million tests I've done after the fundoplication that has been positive is a Peptest which indicated silent reflux.
I've finally gotten a GP that seems to care about my problems. He said that he has had one similar case with a patient having throat and voice problems, where he gave him benzos and he apparently got alot better. I've also read that some people are claiming to have successfully treated LPR this way. The theory I guess is that the symptoms could be stress related.
If that doesn't work he suggested that I should try cortisone. The theory here is that if I have pain and its not nerve related, the tissue must be inf.amed somehow and the cortisone should temporarily reduce this inflamation.
Is there anyone who has tried this and would want to share their experience?
Jakob.
