SEVERED STOMACH WALL FROM GERD FUNDOPLICATION

I underwent a GERD fundoplication last March and NEVER recovered. The surgeon severed my stomach accidently (although he informed me "your stomach wall separated from the lining and we had to do emergency surgery) and now I have been in agony off and on ever since March of 2014. I would gladly take back the heartburn and acid reflux in exchange for one day without terrible pain! I am now currently in the hospital as I have developed an abscess in my intestines and it is infected. The doctors here tell me that I have diverticulitis from lack of fiber and that my pain, bloating, etc. is totally unrelated to my surgery gone wrong. I find it hard to believe that I have the EXACT same symptoms in the EXACT same location with the EXACT same pain that I have had since being butchered. The surgeon here at the hospital cannot figure out why I have the runs and my stomach sounds like niagra falls, churning and churning. They tell me I don't know what I am talking about and that there is no way that I have been suffering like this for over a year or I would be dead. I am trying to find someone else this has happened to. They are going to discharge me as I have been in the hospital for a week and at first they stated I was responding to the antibiotics Zosyn but I now am back in agony and I am desperately attempting to find someone else that has had their stomach perforated by a botched fundoplication.

Call me Sunshine, I called me hopeless when I started blogging about a botched Nissan fundoplication 14 years ago. I am about to have my done for the 4 time. You can read more about me nightmare nissan fundoplication. Starts as Hopeless now (Sunshine)

You need to find you a good internal doctor. Mine is a queen. They can help you order the test that are needed to see if everything is working ok. What I know now I kept trying 6 months after the first surgery but what I know now my Nissan Fundoplication was twisted, they found it after the 3rd surgery. Don't let the doctors tell you other wise you know your body when something isn't right.

My second surgery they said it slipped, that hurts like the devil inside.

You have plenty of support here let me know what i can do for you. Things will get better because you are strong person and never never give up. I too just found out my bowels are having problems I just started taking fiber tablets 3 times a day. Yeh they are starting to move, they can cause severe pain if they back up.
Drink lots of water, small meals, lots of soft food. I make lots of mash potato, kiefer yogurt, jello. Stay away from meat, bread, and try and figure what your triggers are. Life will get better stay strong.

HI SEVERED,

Look for the posting NISSAN FUNDOPLICATION (NIGHTMARE) there are a lot of people going
or have gone through this problem.

Remember do your research on your doctors check the reviews, like (Vitals.com) ask family and friends about
doctors. You have a wonderful family on this web site listening when the doctors tell you that it's in your head.
I had that done so many times, I just find a new doctor.
