Thank you for sharing your story. Yes, it's very important to find a doctor who becomes part of your "team", so to speak. While there are appropriate times when your doctor might need to be stern with you because it's for your own good, there should always be an underlying tone of compassion and caring.
I'm
not talking about
doctors who are "touchy feely" because that's a personality trait and that will vary from doctor to doctor. I'm talking about
having a doctor who genuinely listens to you and WANTS to help you.
Your last sentence summed it up nicely.
