Common cold and surgery

Well lovely have a redo in twelve days and have very slight runny nose not bad at all and feeling tired. Does this mean no surgery . I should have had the flu jab as my job is a bus driver around people. Oh well do I inform surgeon soon

Hi kiwi22,

I doubt a case of the sniffles/common cold will stop your surgery. I am an asthmatic, and had a lung infection at the time of my surgery! From my experience and what I've read here, they would be more concerned with an elevated temperature. With your surgery in 12 days, it's likely you'll be recovered anyway!

Thanks denise .wow you yad a lung infection you must be one tough cookie! Could be open this time but have the best surgeon around .specializes in this so fingers crosseds

I've had surgery at the end of a cold and agree with Denise it's only if you have a raised temp. Try some high strength vit c and zinc. good luck with your re-do bet you can't wait! Please keep us posted how you are doing... Interested in hearing abut re-do as I have mine in a month. All the best.
