So far so good. Has had the 360 wrap
Was in surgery about 3 hours and able to do by keyhole. Not spoke to surgeon but another doctor said all gone well.
A lot of pain and feeling sick when he came round but good pain relief working wonders. Been out of bed and had little walk, still bit wobbly from anaesthetic. He's 6`3 tall so a big one to catch should he faint.
On fluid's only but has managed water, cup of tea, pureed veg soup and jelly.
Would try more if allowed.
Has also been able to burp a little which I think is good.
Early days yet, expecting him to get more swelling which may effect eating but only time will tell. His consultant said things may get worse over next 2 weeks but that is quite normal.
All in all he very bright and cheerful although very tired.
Football season starts today so that gives him lots to focus us. He loves his sport and is very active. Think that maybe difficult for him as he plays very competively for a local team. He is going to have to slow down for a good while to allow the healing to take place.
Will be visiting later so will give a progress update.
