Dilation question!

My first endoscopy showed hiatal hernia and an ulcer and I was put on 40 mg of Omeprazole daily. Welkom my follow up appointment I explained that I had to go to the Er for trouble swallowing I explained it didn't hurt when I ate just a lot of dry mouth and Trouble swallowing. He then did a second endoscopy and this time he did dilation and the endoscopy showed no ulcer and all of my throat was pink instead of red in my last endoscopy he explained that my diet and mess we're working! Do I get home after the procedure happy and then I get this pain in my stomach about 7 hours after I have uncontrollable burping and I call my dr and he seemed like I was normal and said if it last more than a few days call back. I feel like my reflux is 100 times worse since the procedure I asked him why the medicine wasn't working with the symptoms and he told me double my dose which would be 80 mg a day which I find crazy! My swallowing problem is gone tho. But now everything else is worse I woke up with extreme heart burn something I've never done while on meds I took a Tum to relieve it which it did. i think the dilation just opened my LES up even more. Any one experience this?

Yes I had severe heartburn for months after my dilation. It was so bad even water gave me heartburn. To be honest I really didn't have heartburn before my dilation, I had my scope because I was having gadtritis type symptoms and food was getting stuck. After food didn't get stuck for about 3 months and then my heartburn finally got better I was able to get off prilosec and then wham food got stuck again. It's almost like my esophagus went back to normal. Now I'm dealing with terrible side effects from PPI's. Hope you start to feel better soon. It should let up in a couple of weeks, hang in there!!!
