I also have voice issues and I'm almost 3 months post-op (LNF & hiatal hernia repair).
After 7 years of GERD which I believe affected my vocal cords, throat and esophagus, I find that if I talk a lot, my throat gets uncomfortable, gets sore and my voice grows weak. This all translates to 'PAIN' in the general area of the center of my chest. I read on this forum somewhere that the 'acid injury' can take many months to heal and after this major surgery, there is a LOT of additional healing going on. So, I guess we have to just suffer through it. It will take longer for me, being 68.
At this stage, I couldn't sing if I wanted to! However, I no longer have acid reflux, and that's why I had the surgery, but the other issues still greatly hinder lifestyle at this stage. I have learned to slow down and REST when my body is tired. My energy level is still a long way from being where I hope it will eventually be once again.
Hang in there, Jasonking92, back off on ANY heavy lifting and continue to take special care for at least the first year. You are in good company!
