Maybe chamomile? Sometimes drinking hot beverages like chamomile and other herbal teas can help relax the throat. It work maybe 4 out of 10 times for me, but it's better than nothing.
A few alternatives to your diet: I've started making a ton of smoothies, or buying them at the supermarket? I like the Naked juices/smoothies and Bolthouse Farms juices/smoothies. Some of them even have 10g protein per bottle, and a lot of them have a ton of fruits/veggies so you're getting vitamins/minerals from something other than Ensure... it's not much but I lost about 15 pounds but since I started adding on stuff like this day-to-day my weight has leveled out and I don't get as hungry as often.
I can sympathize/empathize completely with you, though! All I want is to start eating normally again! :(
I just actually responded to your other post. I know I desperately want to eat like a normal human being again this is a horrible way to live and I wouldn't wish it on my own worst enemy. The peppermint tea isn't giving me any trouble actually I find myself burping less while drinking it while eating as that was another issue I would have when I ate(using the term "ate" loosely of course) I would burp the entire time. This single handling ruined my life just when things were starting for the first time in my life to go well for me. I feel like a higher power said "oh look at her her life is finally starting to work out lets make it so that she cant eat, that will fix her", now of course I know that's not true but it sure as heck feels that way!
