Hello,
I am new here and just found out that what has been causing my vocal troubles for awhile now is LPR. I never have heartburn or burping or anything like that but I always clear my throat and I ALWAYS have "gunk" in my throat. My singing voice is hit or miss. For no reason I would wake up in terrible voice. Now I am having even worse issues with certain areas in my register. I have been scoped three times and I have no nodes or anything...just redness and inflammation.
So I just need to know, aside from Nexium and such (which I take) what is the best thing to do DIET wise to handle and reverse this issue? Any advice would be great!
Thank you kindly!

Hi Kipp! I have found a vegan diet extremely helpful. It takes awhile to get used to but I feel so much better and healthier. I was suffering intensely from LPR for several years and was miserable because I wasn't able to sing (my diet was also horrible and was frequently constipated). Fast forward 4 years later, no medication, no reflux, PLUS I got my full voice back and am able to sing! Were you tasting acid in your mouth before the diagnosis and the Nexium?

Hi john Taylor, I'm a proffesional singer to, and since a year ago I'm getting worse with my voice, phelgm in my throat, clearing my voice every time, before and after singing a song.
What diet would you recomend?

Hey Savo! I follow a diet based on the research of Dr. Michael Greger. He offers a lot of helpful tips and ideas. I would suggest doing some research on him! My voice has never been better. Are you certain that your phlegm and clearing are reflux related?

For all of you singers or anyone else who as LPR, you might want to watch this video I posted below for singers with LPR. I don't sing, but I even thought this was a good video!
