So I'm only 2 weeks post op. My incisions look good...I'm not taking pain medications. I walk as much as a I can...sounds textbook right?

Well here is my concern...these two events.

1. Held a leash for my daughter's dog for her and he pulled me forward...freaked out.
2. Granddaughter saw me an leaped into me and I caught her so she would flop on the floor.

I didn't "feel" anything...but I can't help but worry OMG.

Like I said...no more GERD, I feel find except for bloating. After the leash incident I felt a little pressure on my left side but more towards my upper breast.

Being a worry wart...I'm just nervous. Follow up appt with surgeon on Friday.

Congratulations on a successful surgery. I had my fundaplication in August. I had worst pain on left side. I talked to doctor and he explained that everything went in and out of that hole so it took the most "abuse". It took longer to heal but did in a few weeks.So...don't worry, you sound like everything is on track.
Take it easy, the moments you describe will happen so unless the pain really changes, it should be normal.
As for the bloating, I still have it. Can no longer drink soda easily. Since I can't really belch anymore I just have to wait for the gas to work its way through. I have't had a moment of heartburn since. hurrah!

understandable to worry. i as well had concerns, the mind can really take you for a ride, as well as the fact, this is an operation you, would prefer not to repeat. but from my understanding, the wrap is pretty secure, and it take a lot of stress, to cause damage. so hang in there, and heal well.

You couldn't be anymore right. I'm oversensitive to everything pull, pain, twinge. I just need to relax and enjoy the "no GERD" or reflux...it's nice :)
