Had 270 posterior wrap today - burping question

Woke up at around 5.15 after being anethietised at 2.25 and felt great. Morphine and anti nausea medication worked a treat, only a bit sore in shoulders and chest from gas and the drip site. Surgery was a piece of cake.

My concern is I have had a glass of water, went down fine hardly any resistance but I have already done 3 small burps from the one glass of water. Is this normal?

Day 2- slept awful mainly due to pain in left shoulder from gas and the ward being very noisy.

No dramas yet, drinking water fine, getting a pressure pain at wrap site few minutes after water and bit bloated.

THE DRAIN!! Was very painful today, had it taken out a few hours ago and,the difference was unbelievable. Can move freely now, but the drain was one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.

Will keep updating. Hopefully go home later today after barium Xray

Just got home. Managed to eat bowl of custard and a small Ice cream with no problems, drinking some cranberry juice now.

Just worried because I am finding swallowing very easy anf don't feel any resistance hardly, can also burp a little.

Can anyone reassure me that this is normal or is my wrap not tight enough?

I was able to burp from the get-go. Swallowing - as long as it was totally chewed through (to mush) was not a problem. I still have problems if not chewed enough or if I eat too fast.

Everything a bit harder today. Feel very bloated. Eaten 2 x chicken soup, ice cream, vanilla ice cream milkshake, jelly, and sucked on small pieces of chocolate.

Haven't been able to burp today and the gas pain can be pretty painful! But have had no heartburn or reflux as yet.

Long road ahead!

Day 7 today. Not had any heartburn at all and doing OK.

My main symptom of reflux was nausea and I'm a bit upset as last 2-3 days the nausea has come back. Wqs praying this surgery would cure it, but doesn't seem to have. I'm hoping that this nausea is due to the surgery and nothing else.... Any ideas anyone?

Also still got mucus in bsck of throat that won't clear. That seems to have started again 2-3 days ago.

I'm praying my wrap hasn't failed already and this is all part of the recovery.

Can anyone advice please?
