GERD, trouble swallowing, chronic nausea

Hi.

I am dealing w/ those 3 things (in the subject line). Not sure if they are all related. Have a pH study and manometry in a month. Need help. Frustrated.

The worst for me is the nausea. Have had multiple tests and no answers, even though test results have been abnormal. Have bouts of nausea about 5 times a day, they come on in seconds and last anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple hours. Been going on for 1 1/2 years. I do take Zofran and use a scopolamine patch, which helps a little bit, but not enough. No vomiting.

Also recently been having some trouble breathing occasionally. It will happen for maybe 30 seconds each time. It's like suddenly being deprived of oxygen and not being able to take in a breath. Pulmonologist said it could be a spasm in my throat. Again, wondering if that's possibly connected to the other things.

I guess I just want to know if they are all connected and how they might be able to be treated... I am miserable b/c of it. Sometimes I start thinking I can't possibly have all these things going on. But then I feel the problems and know they are real.

Any thoughts?
