I have no kept a food diary as such. The usual culprits are chocolate,coffee, alcohol, spicy foods,etc. I seem to follow the generic pattern of triggers. I've been really digging into the topic here lately after the endoscopy. I am neither a smoker or obese, so a lot of what I read appears to point to overweight or smoking. I don't seem to have a problem with most food items, but I cannot eat late night and go immediately to bed. Some of my worst experiences with food have involved eating and then laying down. I can awaken from a deep sleep after about 15 minutes gagging and choking. If I do not lay down for a period of 2-3 hours after eating I seem to be ok. I wonder if there is a food group that would improve my digestive health,etc.? Thanks for the thoughts....
